Welcome 6th Graders

Welcome 6th graders!was a student in Mr.Miller’s room. It was pretty fun. When I entered into the 6th grade I thought I was really prepared but turns out wasn’t. My best skills are playing sports and science. My friends that really helped me the most were Sandy, Jr, and Robert. The thing that really surprised me was that all the new things that we were gonna get to do and the amount of kids that were at Chalone Peaks.

I think I am gonna be a little more prepared than I was in 6th grade. I was strongest in sports and science. I worked hardest on math and science. I enjoyed using the computers because it helped me with projects and also because you can go to fun game sites and other cool things like chat with friends on Moodle. My advice to a 6th grader is to work hard, don’t get into trouble and have fun!

I was very prepared for the 6th grade. I had everything in order. My best skills coming in were Math and Science. The friends that helped me the most were Robert and Jr. What surprised me about 6th grade is that Santa Lucia, Del Rey, and Charter were combined together in classes.

The areas I was the strongest were Math and Science. The areas I needed to work my hardest was Language arts and History. The technology I enjoyed the most was using Skype because you get to talk with people around the world. The advice i would give you is to be nice, work hard, and try your best!

Hi 6th Graders

As I was going into 6th grade I was a little prepared. I was not prepared a lot because I didn’t know how Chalone  Peaks was. The best thing that I was good at was math, physical education, and ELA. I knew most of the people in my class, so they helped me get along with every one. What surprised me the most was that the school was that the school was a lot bigger than I expected.

As I am going to 7th I’m getting practice about what stuff is in 7th grade. The places where I was the strongest were in math, science, and physical education. I had trouble in history and in language arts, but I enjoyed P.E because it was a lot of fun. We also used Skype to talk to other schools around the world. We also used Wordle to make the words in the computers fun to read. I would recommend you that don’t make Mr. Miller or Mrs. Judd mad. They will make you stay after school

Hello 6th Graders!!

Welcome 6th graders! I was a 6th grader in Mr.Millers room and it was fun. When I came in I was not ready for the obstacles of middle school. When I got here my best skills were language arts, math, and science. I had many friends to encourage me to do my best in a great classroom. The thing that surprised me the most was that Mr.Millers room was that we used the computers almost everyday!

Now in the end of the year I am prepared for 7th  grade. I needed to work on language arts by the end of the year. The technology I liked the most was scribble maps and Skype. Scribble maps is where you can put a place mark and Skype is where you can talk to anyone in the world by video on the Internet! Here is some advice to you, DO NOT make Mr. Miller mad. I learned that the hard way. If you don’t do that you can end up with a great year.

The Beach

The Beach

The Beach

I see the bright yellow sun

The excitement while having fun

Kids shooting with a squirt gun

I see kids splishing and splashing

This place is so dashing

With large grins on their faces

Its like my greatest wishes

The funny fregrances on the grill

The taste of seasalt makes me feel ill

The day is almost over

The opposite luck of a 4-leaf clover

I start to see shades of gray

As now the day has faded away

We now have memories to charish

As now the day has finally perished

7771847Stadium overcrowded

fans choose their sides

teams flags in the sky

as birds fly high in the sky

When the game starts

pumps the players hearts

kicks ball through middle

pass misses by a little

Takes everyone on the opposing team

hes as fast as a lightning beam

he shoots and scores

crowd start their roars

School’s Out

Written on May 10, 2011 – 10:44 am | by Robert.

Closed for the summer

Closed for the summer

Bell at 2:45 pm,

Every one is anxious to go,

Minutes before the bell rings,

Getting our supplies ready

RING, RING, RING,

Students hurry out,

Crowded hallways

look like destruction,

Every one rushing out the light gray door,

Teachers try to put things in order,

Almost out the door,

Out at school at last

Battle Of Thermopylae

Written on April 18, 2011 – 9:36 am | by Gildardo

Someone awoke me on this historical day. Today was the day of the battle. I could smell what we were having for breakfast. What a foul taste in my mouth that I got used to. We were on our way to Thermopylae, a narrow pathway in the mountains that was easy to defend. I had to defend our city-state of Sparta and the rest of Greece. We were against the Persians.

Sparta In Battle
Sparta In Battle

We held off the Persians for 2 days, when we were outnumbered. We were a fearless group of tough and angry men. Unfortunately, a traitor told the Persians our destination. The Persians got up to Thermopylae and were ready to fight and kill. We were just as ready as the Persians. I experienced many things on those days. Some of my comrades were killed in a bloody massacre of death by our enemies. It was like a blood bath. I destroyed many lives in that battle. I stabbed people and hit them hard and ran into them with my shield. Blood came out of their face and they begged for mercy but I showed no mercy, so I wasted him out on his offer of not killing him.

We were losing the war. It was heartbreaking to see our people suffer. We lost the war. Everybody was on the ground either dead or dying. I could not watch the fate of our people. All of a sudden we saw Xerxes, the Persian leader. He had a long beard and a crown on his head with a lot of jewelery on his body. The rest of us died and they kept some people go but we continued to fight to the death. Xerxes looked proud of his men and had a small grin on his face. The enemies left us and went to Athens, but the people of that city state fled and Persia burned the city to the ground.
